“Welcome! Stay as long as you like. Take any spot. We have full electric hook-ups. Let us know if you need anything.”
This greeting did not come from campground hosts at an RV park. The enthusiastic greeting came from the security guard at the Ojibwa Casino just outside of Marquette, Michigan.
Multiple RV sites set alongside the Casino, some spots nestled among the tall pines while others offered open sunshine. All sites were for free – no cost!
This casino and others which offer a free RV park make you feel like you hit the jackpot before your hit the slots! A free campsite can save you a bundle. And, the money you save on a campsite can buy some gaming fun. The casinos bet you will come play a few slot machines, try a hand at poker, or ante up to the blackjack table. They gamble that you’ll buy a cold beer and a meal too.
From the Ojibwa Casino, we could drive into Marquette for sightseeing and groceries. Half a mile away by car or bicycle, we could lounge on the shore of Lake Superior. And, quite spontaneously, we could try our luck inside the casino open 24 hours as day.
Even though I did not win a pile of money, I still left the Ojibwa Casino feeling great because of the warm welcome and continuous hospitality extended to us as their guests.
